The Mercedes luxury cars epitomize several years of design that have made Mercedes Benz become one of the most illustrious luxury brands in the world. Now, the entrants for the 2008 Design Los Angeles Challenge have been officially out and the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Center of North America has taken wraps off the Formula Zero luxury racer. This stylish concept racer aims to combine the “the thrill of Formula One, the track dynamics of the bobsled or luge, and the grace and efficiency of yacht racing.” Taking inspiration from Formula One and Yacht Racing worlds, the Formula Zero has been designed with a view to haul out maximum thrust from the electric motors, aero-efficient solar skin and rigid sail. The Mercedes Benz Formula Zero racing Series will be held on a transparent track, which will be visible to the spectators from all angles.
